A Nifty Batch Installer and Updater that Saves You Time

Ninite is a web app package management system tool that lets you automatically install popular applications for your Windows operating system. You just make a selection from a list of applications it provides and Ninite itself bundles the selection into a single installer package. This app is free but it offers a premium version suited to professional use.

Two in One

Installing and updating programs can always be such a hassle, especially if you’re starting anew. A lot of security programs try to solve the updating problem by checking on your installed programs and scanning them for any outdatedness. You’ll be alerted to any that do need to be updated, but having them be updated in one go will usually require you to have your security program to be a paid premium version. Bundle installer programs also aren’t too popular since that would require including hundreds, if not thousands, of programs available online. However, Ninite steps up to the daunting task of both installing and updating and even delivers excellent results. All you need to do is pick the apps you want from its list and let it download and run your custom installer or updater. Unlike the long process of updating from security programs or individually retrieving download links to install later, Ninite compresses them all in one batch and all you need to do is wait for it to finish.

No Need to Bother

What makes NInite even better is that it will bypass all those prompts installers will give you. There’s always that “Next” button or that question whether to place the file in this particular folder or not. They usually just lengthen the process and you can’t always leave the installers running since you’ll discover later when you come back that the installation or update actually stopped because it needed your input for something. However, Ninite just ignores all of that and doesn’t bother you about them either. It will just install your apps in their default locations and reject any offers of extra toolbars and such that the installer might be trying to promote to you. It will also install the apps to their appropriate size of computer processor, like 64-bit programs for 64-bit machines. It will also default to the language you use unless you change it. Ninite does all of this work in the background and lets you breathe easy with updates since its bots check for them periodically. There’s no need to manually check yourself anymore—Ninite will skip the up-to-date apps, install the latest versions, and even skip any reboot requests from the installers. You don’t have to worry about where it’s getting its downloads either, as Ninite always downloads from the official publishers’ sites.

A Must for Those in a Hurry

If you’re having trouble with the number of updates you need to do all the time or you just have a new computer and need programs quickly, then Ninite can be your new best friend. It’s surprisingly a very secure web app and a total time-saver. The worst drawback it has is that it only has a limited amount of programs you can download since it chooses only the most requested apps from its users to offer. However, most of its selections are apps you might be needing yourself so there’s nothing with trying out Ninite to save yourself a lot of hassle.
